The ultimate objective is to provide cardiologists with a decisional tool to investigate the impact of certain treatments (surgical procedure, pacemaker implantation...) on an impaired organ. Hence the work will be carried out in a collaborative environment including medical doctors. Duration: 9-12 months Location: INRIA-Rocquencourt (Paris area) Applicants should have a PhD in numerical analysis or computational mechanics (non-linear solid mechanics more particularly relevant), and a strong motivation for biomedical applications. Non-French candidates from the European Union (and associated states), no more than 30 years old, are particularly encouraged, although all top-level applications will definitely be considered. Applications to be submitted by email to Dominique.Chapelle@inria.fr ------ Subject: Contents, Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems - Series A 10:3 From: "Hu_Shouchuan" Date: Fri, 20 Feb 2004 08:44:37 -0600 Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems - Series A http://AIMsciences.org Chihurn Kim and Dong Han Kim On the law of logarithm of the recurrence time pp. 581--587 Nicolai Haydn and Sandro Vaienti The limiting distribution and error terms for return times of dynamical systems pp. 589--616 Zhaoli Liu and Jiabao Su Solutions of some nonlinear elliptic problems with perturbation terms of arbitrary growth pp. 617--634 Lars Olsen First return times: multifractal spectra and divergence points pp. 635--656 Sigurdur Freyr Hafstein A constructive converse Lyapunov theorem on exponential stability pp. 657--678 S.
