5th Visegrad Conference on Dynamical Systems.

The conference will be held from Monday, September 2 to Friday,
September 6, 2013, in Olsztyn, probably the most beautifully located
city in Poland.

The conference will be focused on the mathematical theory of dynamical
systems with emphasis on topological dynamics, symbolic dynamics,
low-dimensional dynamics and ergodic theory.

Emerging subjects and applications are also welcome.

Invited speakers:

* Henk Bruin (Vienna, Austria)
* Tomasz Downarowicz (Wroclaw, Poland)
* Krzysztof Fraczek (Torun, Poland)
* Eli Glasner (Tel Aviv, Israel)
* Gerhard Keller (Erlangen, Germany)
* Sergii Kolyada (Kiev, Ukraine)

Dear Colleagues,

Resulting from a stand-alone project (Einzelprojekt P 25975-N25)
supported by the FWF, there is a position open for a PhD student
starting in Autumn 2013. The project deals with the topological and
geometric description of strange attractors of Henon-type.

Further info can be found on
http://www.mat.univie.ac.at/~bruin/Graduate.html
The starting date is a bit fluid; it could be as early as October 1,
but ideally not later than January 2014.

I would be grateful if you can bring this to the attention of
finishing/recently finished master students that you think may be
interested.

Many thanks,
Henk Bruin
