Antonio Hernández-Vela received the Bachelor degree in Computer Science and M.S. degree in Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 2009 and 2010, respectively. He is currently a research member at the Computer Vision Center (UAB) and PhD student at University of Barcelona. He is mainly interested in the application of Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence techniques to projects that can help impaired people to improve their life quality, especially in the area of human pose recovery and behaviour analysis. 
Miguel Reyes received his Bachelor degree in Computer Science at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 2010. He obtained his mater degree in Artificial Intelligence in Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and in Universitat de Barcelona (UB) in 2011. He is mainly interested in the application of Artificial Intelligence techniques on clinical applications.
Xavier Perez-Sala received the B.S. degree in Industrial Electronics at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in 2008 and the M.S degree in Artificial Intelligence at UPC and Universitat de Barcelona (UB) in 2010. He did his master thesis at Technical Research Centre for Dependency Care and Autonomous Living (CETpD), combining computer vision and machine learning techniques for social robots navigation. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D degree in Artificial Intelligence at the CETpD and Computer Vision Center (UAB), focused on computer vision techniques for human pose recovery and behavior analysis, in the field of social robotics.

Víctor Ponce received his Bachelor degree in Computer Science at Universitat de Barcelona (UB) in 2010, and his M.S. degree in Artificial Intelligence at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Universitat de Barcelona (UB), and Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV). His Ph.D Thesis is mainly oriented to Computer Vision and Machine Learning for the analysis of both Human Gesture Recognition and Human Behavior Recognition in social or health applications, taking into account psychological factors.

Miguel Ángel received both his B.Sc and M.Sc in 2010 at University of Barcelona and Polytechnic university of Barcelona, respectively. He is mainly interested in Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition and Learning Theory, as a tool to process huge quantities of data. Currently, his Ph. D thesis is oriented to construct a sound theoretical framework to treat multi-class and multi-label problems in a efficient manner taking into account the idiosyncrasies of such problems.
Oscar Amoros received his Bachelor degree in Computer Science at Universitat de Barcelona (UB) in 2010. He is mainly interested in Parallel programming languages and systems and Architecture-aware programming to allow scientifical projects with very high computational needs to become a reality with the minimum infrastructure possible. He is also interested in new ways of abstracting or hiding architecture-aware programming and parallelism to the programmer, through new compilers and run-times using artificial intelligence technologies, in order to automatically improve code performance, maintainability and productivity in high performance scientifical research developments.

Albert Clapés received his Bachelor degree in Computer Science at Universitat de Barcelona (UB) in 2012. He obtained the Master degree in Artificial Intelligence in 2014 at UPC (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya), UB and URV. He is doing the PhD on gesture recognition.His reserch interests include computer vision applied to human behavior analysis and human-computer interaction.

Current he is a PhD candidate at Hospital de Sant Pau (Autonomous University of Barcelona): whole body PET/CT automatic tumor quantification. Cristina Palmero received her Bachelor degree in Audiovisual Telecommunication Systems Engineering at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in 2011. She is currently studying her Master degree in Artificial Intelligence at Universitat de Barcelona (UB), Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and Universitat Rovira  i Virgili (URV). She is mainly interested in signal and image processing and computer vision techniques applied  to human behavior analysis, scene understanding and robotics.

 

 

Meysam Madadi received his Bachelor degree in Software Engineering at BuAli Sina university of Hamedan and M.S. degree in Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 2007 and 2013, respectively. He has started his research activities by focusing on information retrieval and data mining since his bachelor project, continuing in master specifically on computer vision and image processing. He gave a special attention to pose recovery and human behavior analysis from his master thesis in title of Extraction of body soft-biometry from 3D videos using Kinect. He is interested in generating and developing new algorithms in these topics applying the knowledge in computer vision and retrieval systems besides machine learning, algorithms design in artificial intelligence, statistics, and linear algebra, among others.

Gerard Canal Camprodon received his Bachelor degree in Computer Science at Facultat d'Informàtica de Barcelona (FIB) from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTech (UPC) in 2013. He is currently studying her Master degree in Artificial Intelligence at Universitat de Barcelona (UB), Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and Universitat Rovira  i Virgili (URV), and working on his MSc. Thesis titled "Human MultiRobot interaction based on Gesture Recognition". He is mainly interested in Artificial Intelligence applied to Robotics and specifically in the use of computer vision techniques to improve robot perception and understanding.

Ciprian Adrian Corneanu  got his MSc in Telecommunication Engineering from Télécom SudParis in 2011. He spent the next three years in Germany with C.R.S iiMotion, a Thomson spin-off, developing industrial image processing applications for the consumer market. Currently he is a Ph.D student at the Universitat de Barcelona and a fellow of the Computer Vision Center from Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona. His main research interests include face and behavior analysis, affective computing, social signal processing, human computer interaction.
